These special scissors for men’s grooming were developed together with the renowned barbershop SCHOREM in Rotterdam.
GURU enables ultra-fine cuts from 0.5 mm and is ideal for precise trimming of beards, eyebrows and even individual hairs.
SCHOREM is probably the most famous traditional barbershop in the world and is based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. The two owners, Leen and Bertus, are not only the creators of the revolutionary neobarber concept, but also the founders of the REUZEL POMADE, an indispensable styling product for classic and fashionable looks.
Their original style sets global standards and is passionately followed by clients and barbers around the world. In collaboration with MIZUTANI, they developed the SCHOREM MASTER and the special GURU scissors, which allow for the finest precision when trimming beards, eyebrows, and even individual hairs.

Extramarise
EXTRAMARISE® is a proprietary heat treatment ideally suited for haircutting scissors that was developed by MIZUTANI based on long years of accumulated data and experience. The same steel material can have totally different performance depending on the heat treatment used. Therefore, to maximize the special qualities of the rare metals (cobalt, molybdenum, vanadium, etc.) we’ve added to our products to the greatest extent possible, and achieve the ideal metal for scissors, (*hardening, tempering, sub-zero processing) and other complete temperature management procedures are essential. To bring out the distinct characteristics of materials, and manufacture a blade with the ultimate strength required for haircutting scissors, we at MIZUTANI have implemented our own proprietary heat treatment using the ideal temperature for scissors: EXTRAMARISE® processing.
